Burton Baldridge Architects in an Austin, Texas based firm that seeks to deliver durable, site and cost contextual modern designs from beginning to end. We eschew any sort of an in-house style in favor of a program- and site-specific approach. We counsel our clients to spend more thoughtfully on less: smaller and better spaces through rigorous design, durable materials, comprehensive detailing and the silent employment of sustainable features. At the very core of our practice is the belief that architecture should perform equally at all scales.
We specialize in immaculately detailed high-end residential and light commercial spaces. Baldridge Architects believes that our job has just begun at the commencement of construction. To ensure quality design from start to finish, we favor a robust construction administration at the very least. More typically, however, we prefer to build our designs through our sister company bba-db inc.
Burton Baldridge is a Texas native, educated in architecture (Columbia University) and law (University of Texas). He served as the project architect and construction manager for the award winning Floating Box House (Austin, Texas), in connection with his employment with Peter Gluck & Partners Architects in New York. The combined the talents in the firm include experience in high-end residential, hospitality, commercial, retail and institutional projects. Our work has been featured in numerous publications including The New York Times, National Geographic Traveler, Architectural Record, Tribeza and Metropolis.
