Emmons Architects was started by Stuart Emmons in a basement in 1997. We are now a mid-sized architecture and urban design firm in Portland, Or. We design urban spaces, urban buildings and urban districts.

Stuart Emmons
Founder

has been an architect for over 20 years. He holds a Masters of Architecture from Harvard University(1998) and a bachelors of Architecture from Pratt Institute in New York; Prior to founding Emmons Architects. He worked at Skidmore Owings and Merrilin New York; Koning Eizenberg Architecture and Johnson Fain Partners in Los Angeles; and Yost Grube Hall in Portland. He is an active supporter of art, design and cultural organizations in the Portland Community. Stuart was a master of wood work before he became an architect.
