Pb elemental was in the fall of 2004 by Chris Pardo and David Biddle. The firm's first projects primarily focused on urban infill housing. We began these projects with three simple goals; to challenge the predominant traditional Northwest aesthetic, to provide homes with spaces sized appropriately to the way people live and reject that bigger is always better and to establish that clean, modern design can be achieved for all budgets.
Chris's work is best described as simply modern. Influenced primarily by Asian and Scandinavian Contemporaries, his buildings exhibit an adept understanding of form and a purity of material.
David began his work in residential design on the east coast working for a custom home builder before serving as an apprentice carpenter for a custom furniture shop.
Ryan received his professional Bachelor of Architecture degree with honors from Auburn University where he was chosen to participate in the Rural Studio design/build thesis program created by Samuel Mockbee. At the Rural studio, Ryan worked with 3 other students to design and construct a home for 12k in materials that house young women who otherwise would be without.
