OPA Design and Architecture is an award winning multidisciplinary firm offering sustainable design for educational, commercial and residential architecture, planning, and environmental graphics. OPA's projects have been published both locally and nationally.
Led by owner Patricia Bittner AIA and principal Laurel Wilson, OPA Design and Architecture works as a collaborative firm. Our competence is drawn from the combined experience and projects of each member of our office. We bring unique and specific qualifications to every project. OPA’s ability to design thoughtful appropriate environments, work within timelines, and keep within budgets is the result of cooperation within a skillful, experienced, and efficient team.
The architects of OPA believe architectural beauty is a result of the thoughtful and appropriate use of materials and composition of three dimensional space. We design each project so that it uniquely responds to the immediate environment and program. The work is well conceived and executed down to the smallest detail
Laurel Wilson, LEED AP, contributes experience in planning, environmental graphics and graphic design, set design, and interior architecture to the work of OPA.
Prior to joining OPA, Ms Wilson worked with a number of individual design firms in New York and Seattle. She established her own studio in New York in 1990 and taught architectural design and drawing at the New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark for a number of years. Ms. Wilson studied art history at Whitman College, was graduated by the University of Washington with a Bachelors of Fine Arts, and received her Masters of Architecture from Yale University.
