Burdge & Associates Architects, Inc. is an international architectural planning and consulting firm based in Malibu, California. Firm principal, Douglas W. Burdge A.I.A., has designed master planning, architectural, and interior design projects in California, Idaho, Montana, Hawaii, Texas, Colorado, Saudi Arabia, Italy and Mexico. The firm specializes in the creation of premier residential and commercial projects for private owners and developers; and provides master planning and consulting services for private and resort developers; and provides master planning and consulting services to private and resort developers. Since its inception in 1987, BAA, Inc. has programmed and designed over three million square feet of space for private homes and offices, retail stores and centers, office buildings, restaurants, and multi-family residential buildings. Award-winning projects have been featured in numerous architectural and design publications.The firm is committed to design excellence, and importantly, to creating environmentally responsible, sustainable, LEED-Certified 'green" designs for all projects.

Company president Jose Lujvidin oversees a staff of 14, including architects, drafts-persons, designers and project managers. Every project is produced using state-of-the-art architectural software; able to generate photo-realistic 3D models and virtual reality animation, as well as precise construction documents and specifications.

Douglas W. Burdge
Principal

Douglas W. Burdge A.I.A. is a licensed Architect in the States of California and Idaho. Doug is widely recognized for his design excellence, being frequently published in the International media, and is the recipient of several 'Custom Home of the Year' Merit Awards from the Pacific Coast Builder's Conference. World travel has sharpened Doug's regional design expertise, and he has recently termed his own unique style to be "Rystern", a melding of contemporary clean lines and spatial dynamics, with the texture and warmth of old-world materials and regional references. An acknowledged expert on doing business in Mexico, he authored a journal entitled Su Casa en Cabo. The Experience of Designing and Building a Custom Casa in Mexico.

A native of Los Angeles, Doug holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Southern California and is a member of the USGBC – US Green Building Council. He is an active member of Malibu Presbyterian Church and is involved in numerous local community organizations. He, his wife and sons share time between their homes in Malibu and Sun Valley, Idaho.
Jose Lujvidin
President

Jose Lujuvidin was named president of Burdge & Associates, Architects, Inc. in January 2006. Jose was in practice with his own architecture firm in West Los Angeles for nine years. As firm principal, he became experienced in all phases of the architectural process. In doing so, Jose discovered that he most enjoyed the collaborative aspects of team and project management. When he and Doug Burdge met, they recognized the mutual benefit in their association. thus, over the past thirteen years, Jose has managed every aspect of BAA, Inc. projects.

Jose's expertise ranges from master planning community developments to high and low density residential and commercial projects. Also and expert in graphic related computer systems, he oversees all CAD and 3D modeling design systems for BAA, Inc. Jose;s many years in Malibu have enabled him for being adept at expediting the permit procurement process, a coveted skill in the world of Malibu building and construction.

Originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, Jose enjoys family life with his wife, son and daughter.
