Conceptually, because the house sits on the beach, it should become an integral part of the beach environment through its use of material, organization, and juxtaposition. The house unites three material - coral, aluminum and glass - to create shelter. The coral / stucco shields the sleeping area, aluminum enclose the kitchen and entertaining area, and glass to the south offers unobstructed views as it surrounds the contemplative / living space. Through the use of simple materials and organization, the house celebrates the ocean ad a backdrop.
