The studio

THE STUDIO of debartolo architects is a unique architectural design firm in that we are passionately committed to architectural excellence parallel with our commitment to serving clients and creating relevant and functionally-tuned environments for people.

Founded in 1996 as a collaboration of the father-son team, the firm is built on the rich history of Jack DeBartolo Jr. FAIA’s 22-year partnership with Anderson DeBartolo Pan, Inc. Having always been drawn to ‘significance’ over success - we have been honored that in our 16-years of existence, our work is widely recognized as some of the finest in our region. It is our goal to continue to be a voice in our community for shaping spaces that evoke quality and beauty, which integrate into the landscape and create experiences that are memorable and profound.

Today, our studio has distinguished itself with numerous award winning projects that have transformed their environments - typically making much out of little. Through creativity, innovation and careful listening, our team has become one of the leading studios in creating highly-custom, well-tuned built-environments that respond to our client, context, culture and community.

Through all phases of design, deliberate dedication drives our passionate team to not only be innovative but trans-formative in our work. Engaged to address diverse design challenges ranging in scale from campus planning to library design, to residential detailing - the work of our firm continues to explore new ways for design innovation to elevate the quality of the built realm. Our aim is to create work that is technically precise, highly accurate, elegantly simple and timeless. One central core of the practice is to promote and foster ‘design excellence’, through active collaboration with clients, specialists, engineers, consultants, artists, and strategic partners who ultimately benefit the quality and work of the studio. The studio of debartolo architects employs a small team of dedicated professionals, where youth is balanced with experience and each of our clients receives the dedicated attention of the principal.
