Emmons Design

The studio

Innovation in housing design & production is essential to addressing the housing crisis, reducing housing costs, and delivering housing faster.

Innovation in housing is critical to end homelessness.

Emmons Design's mission: to have a direct impact and ripple effect on housing innovation, with a focus on industrialized construction.

In addition to our expertise in architecture, we will do this through planning the optimal process for delivering successful modular/prefab housing projects.

Getting started with Emmons Design

What to expect when you contact an architect — general guidance from Architects List.

The first conversation: Most residential architects start with a short call or meeting to hear about your project and see whether it’s a good fit for both of you.
What to have ready: Where the project is, roughly what you’d like to build, and a budget and timing if you know them. A few photos of work you like help too. “Not sure yet” is a fine answer.
Fees: How fees work varies by firm. Some first meetings are free; some firms charge for a site visit or feasibility study. It’s fine to ask Emmons Design directly.
