Serge Young’s practice is newly established and based in New York’s Hudson Valley. Primarily, Serge provides architectural services in Dutchess, Putnam, Orange, Columbia, Ulster and Westchester Counties and Connecticut. Serge grew up in the Hudson Valley and has lived and worked as an architect here for the past twelve years. As a Hudson Valley architect, the region’s landscape and vernacular architecture influence and inspire his design sensibility. Serge served as a project architect for the well-known and established firms Crisp Architects and Ralph R. Mackin, Jr. Architects. Serge has substantial experience in residential architecture and has worked on many historic homes in Dutchess County and beyond. Serge approaches each project comprehensively; he exhausts design possibilities and takes into account all aspects of the building process. Serge likes to maintain a personal dialogue with his clients and continue communication throughout the design and construction processes so that he can best understand their needs, desires and concerns. In order to achieve design excellence it is essential to meet the client’s requirements and create design solutions that are appropriate to the time and place. As an architect, Serge strives for this on every project.rn
