Whereas most design-build firms are run by contractors, Marmol Radziner is unique in that we are architects first. We have become contractors in order to build our projects with the same rigor with which they were designed. As one entity both imagining and executing, we bring a full spectrum of design and construction experience to each of our projects. This holistic approach provides us with greater aesthetic as well as financial control.rnrnEstablished in Los Angeles by Leo Marmol and Ron Radziner in 1989, we have grown to offer a range of design services including landscape design, interior design, furniture, and prefabricated housing. Our staff includes general contractors, cabinet makers, metal fabricators, and site supervisors, many of whom are also architects. rnrnWe first earned our reputation as design-build leaders in 1999 with our restoration of the celebrated Kaufmann House in Palm Springs, originally designed by Richard Neutra in 1946. Today a breadth of projects distinguishes our firm, from intimately scaled residences, to boutiques and large public and community-based projects. In 2004, Marmol Radziner was named the American Institute of Architects California Council’s Firm of the Year. We were honored as members of the Architectural Digest AD 100 and as inductees of the Interior Design 25th Anniversary Hall of Fame in 2009.rnrnAs architects and builders, we are fundamentally optimists. We love to create and to make places where things will happen. We relish the opportunity to contribute to our environment and we feel that it is important to create places which will endure. Our commitment is to create architecture which reveals the client's dreams, connects to the natural world, supports sustainable development, and revitalizes communities.rn
