The design employs a restrained material palette of charred wood, concrete, and glass, with the house forming a box-like volume resting on a structural base of concrete and steel. Key functional areas—including the stair, kitchen, bathroom, and mudroom—are articulated by oak millwork, organizing the transparent living spaces. Extensive glass panels and large rolling doors connect these interiors to the outdoor environment, allowing sunlight and seasonal color to enter while maintaining privacy from the street.
