LOUISVILLE NET-ZERO RESIDENCE

BARI Architecture — Downtown Historic Louisville, Colorado

LOUISVILLE NET-ZERO RESIDENCE photo 1

Located in the heart of the downtown Historic District, this family was fortunate to find one of the last remaining (mostly) empty lots in this sought-after neighborhood. Space is at a premium in Louisville, and the family was keen on maximizing the use of the lot while incorporating their vision of a spacious, welcoming home where they could all gather. Working closely with the homeowners, we tailored the design to create a main-level open-plan area that serves as the central hub for family activities, providing a sense of unity and comfort. One of the most striking features of the Louisville Residence is the use of Lunawood Thermowood as the exterior siding. This sustainable material adds a rich, warm texture to the façade, giving the home a sense of scale and depth that complements the historic surroundings while still feeling modern. Its durability and natural beauty make it the perfect choice for blending contemporary architecture with the character of the district.
