Ojai Residence – Frederick Fisher and Partners

Completed in 2019, the Ojai Residence by Frederick Fisher and Partners is located in Ojai, California. The project was developed for a family with two children and responds to a program centered on family interaction while providing distinct living spaces. The house is composed of two primary volumes: a three-story cubic tower and a single-story bar. The tower volume accommodates the main public spaces for daily family life and social gatherings, incorporating the living room, dining room, kitchen, and the parents’ suite. The one-story bar is dedicated to the children’s bedrooms, a family room, and a guest bath. The exterior is finished in cor-ten steel, giving the house a modern identity and durability suited to the site. The plan separates private and communal spaces, with each form contributing clarity to the overall spatial organization.
