The Edinberg Residence

The Edinberg Residence, designed by Ten Seventy Architecture with interiors by Danae Netto Design, is a 3,900-square-foot remodel in Cardiff. The existing home—a duplex located a few blocks from the beach—had been subject to previous additions that disrupted its relationship to the site, particularly with a layout that blocked access between interior spaces and a private courtyard with an in-ground pool. The redesign addressed these constraints, aiming to restore lost architectural details while creating stronger connections between indoor living areas and outdoor amenities, including a new roof deck intended for entertaining. A significant aspect of the renovation involved securing a coastal exemption, streamlining the permitting process required for coastal zone projects in the region.
