CASA 34°58' N, 83°20' W is a 2,200-square-foot vacation house in Sky Valley, Georgia, designed by Mateu Architecture and completed in 2020. The project arose from a land exchange, relocating the owners from a valley plot to a mountaintop site with western and southwestern views toward the Blue Ridge Mountains. The half-acre property sits atop Ridgepole Mountain, accessed from the ridge and dropping steeply—over 100 feet—toward the southwest. The house is positioned on steel columns, some exceeding 50 feet in height, to span the dramatic slope and elevate living spaces above the landscape, while the front façade offers privacy from the roadside approach.
