Crocker Residence

The Crocker Residence by ALIS Architecture is a 6,200-square-foot home in the hills of Northern California, positioned to overlook Lake Folsom. The project responded directly to the site’s topography and orientation, with the design shaped to make full use of the available views across the lake and surrounding landscape while supporting the clients’ day-to-day living patterns. The architecture emphasizes connection to the outdoors with extensive floor-to-ceiling glazing on the lake-facing side, allowing natural light into the living spaces and uninterrupted views throughout the interior. An open plan layout allows for movement between communal spaces and extends circulation onto multiple terraces, supporting outdoor living and entertaining. Material selections continue this theme by visually linking interior and exterior zones, contributing to a sense of continuity between the built environment and the surrounding hills. The residence employs a contemporary, modern architectural language consistent with its setting and program.
