New Haven

New Haven is a modern residence designed by Brian Dillard Architecture. The scheme is shaped by a high-contrast palette—white stucco, ebonized wood siding, and deep purple brick—applied both outside and within the house. Public spaces are organized around a central stair that forms a sculptural anchor, allowing the kitchen and dining area to connect openly to a sunken living room. The design extends outdoors with a partially detached cabana that forms a protected kitchen space next to the pool. Above, the cabana’s roof functions as a terrace for the master suite, offering an elevated outdoor area. Interior selections include white walls, dark stained floors, and varied tilework, which highlight walnut accents throughout, executed in collaboration with Allison Burke Interior Design. Landscape design by Mark Word Design shapes the exterior experience, while Modern Design Build served as general contractor.
