Craig Steely Architecture The Sandtrap

Craig Steely Architecture — The Sandtrap

Description

A painting studio, the inside clad in 4×8 sheets of fir plywood and the outside wrapped in diagonal redwood. A pure shape that treats corners as subtractions or diminishing curves—a fibonacci spiral, half calculus integral, half skate ramp. The shoji screen like skylit roof casts balanced even light in the space throughout the day.
