The entry façade is characterized by its solid appearance, with thick super-insulated wood cladding and narrow vertical windows serving utilitarian spaces including the bathrooms, stair, and laundry, prioritizing privacy and thermal performance. Upon entering, the house reveals an open central living and dining area oriented toward the water with floor-to-ceiling glazing. Large sliding doors link these shared spaces to a multi-level deck, reinforcing interior-exterior connections. The house is organized in two wings: one contains guest bedrooms, and a second, rotated forty-five degrees, holds the main bedroom suite. At their intersection, a screened porch with a distinct kite-shaped roof provides panoramic views. The project employs both active and passive solar strategies, such as photovoltaic panels, roof overhangs, and clerestory windows to support energy efficiency and natural ventilation, consistent with the contemporary and midcentury modern influences evident in its design.
