The Net Zero House is a residential project by STRANG Architecture situated on Rivo Alto Island in Miami Beach, Florida. Positioned along the waterfront, the house responds to its Biscayne Bay setting by orienting living spaces to maximize vistas toward the water and Di Lido Island to the west. The design was shaped by the context of a coastal lifestyle prominent in the region, integrating features typical to Miami Beach such as pools, cabanas, and direct dock access. The exterior is defined by deeply cantilevered roofs and balconies that project over outdoor living areas, establishing the house’s profile and shading interior spaces. A palette of warm materials distinguishes the house within its context, contrasting with the surrounding residences. Spaces within the two-story home are arranged to frame panoramic water views, while the integration of outdoor amenities reinforces the connection between indoor living and the bay environment.
