The house is located along the street protecting the lakeside of the gently sloping site. The house, terrace and gardens capture morning light and water views as they engage Lake Washington. The kitchen, dining and living rooms, located on the main level, are connected to the sleeping rooms above and guest rooms/home office below, by a sculptural wood stair and steel railing. Simple shed roof volumes are clad in rough-sawn vertical cedar siding with generously scaled aluminum window openings to frame the views.
