Parkway

Parkway is a 6,252-square-foot residence in Dallas’s Kessler Park neighborhood, reworked by RGD+B through a comprehensive renovation. Originally styled as an English estate, the brief called for integrating more contemporary living standards while preserving core architectural character. The project responded to the established context with a multi-level plan that addresses both family needs and connections to the outdoors. The reimagined layout introduces a designated children’s wing, equipped with a playroom and craft area, supporting functionality for an active household. Main living spaces are organized to maximize openness and daylight, employing floor-to-ceiling glazing along key facades. These transparent zones create visual continuity between indoor areas and a series of linked outdoor spaces, which include a covered seating area with a fireplace and a pool. Landscape elements and considered lighting strategies complement the original architectural language, emphasizing a blend of crafted detail and natural relationships throughout the home.
