Studio One Architeture — Alpharetta, GA

Front view of Haynes Bridge house featuring cream brick exterior and symmetrical gable roofs with black window frames.

Haynes Bridge, designed by Studio One Architecture, occupies an infill parcel in downtown Alpharetta, GA, responding to a context characterized by increased walkability and urban density. The house was conceived to accommodate the client’s interest in engaging with the neighborhood while also securing a sense of seclusion, guided by the city’s form-based codes and informed by an eclectic interpretation of Tudor architectural elements. The plan is arranged in a U-shape that wraps around a pool, organizing a sequence of spaces including the primary suite, great room, porte cochere, entry foyer, and pool house, with a garage set below. This configuration establishes two perpendicular axes intersecting at the home’s core. The entry sequence layers public and private zones, allowing degrees of privacy to deepen from the street through to the rear, ultimately creating a private retreat within an urban setting.
