Villa H is a custom home in the foothills above Boulder, Colorado, inspired by Scandinavian architecture and Nordic cabins defined by clarity, restraint, and craftsmanship. The design prioritizes simplicity, durability, and a strong connection to the Front Range landscape. The “H”-shaped plan organizes the home around two private courtyards, including an outdoor living court with a pool. These spaces are oriented for light, privacy, and framed views, creating a sheltered interior landscape within the foothills setting. Views extend to the Front Range and toward the University of Colorado, grounding the home in its Boulder context while maintaining a calm, inward-focused courtyard experience. Folded roof forms shape varied interior volumes, balancing intimate rooms with larger living spaces. A restrained palette of weathered wood, stone, and natural finishes reinforces the Scandinavian influence and ties the home to its alpine environment.
