Piché Architecture — Boulder, CO

Linden Grove is a custom residence by Piché Architecture in Boulder, Colorado. Sited on a tree-lined lot, the house comprises two parallel gabled volumes that serve to organize the interior spaces and create a sheltered outdoor environment. This arrangement protects an orchard, gardens, and a pool from view and activity of neighboring properties and the street, while preserving visual connections to the surrounding landscape. The exterior utilizes weathered gray cedar siding, accented by blackened roofs and board-formed concrete walls that anchor the structure to its setting. Inside, the project employs a restrained material palette including blackened steel, board-formed concrete, marble, and white oak. Window openings are strategically positioned to orient living spaces toward the Rocky Mountains, reinforcing the house’s relationship to its site.
